Despite the significance of multiple endocrine neoplasia (MEN), there remains noticeable lack of attention to this condition. Recognizing this gap, the Korean Endocrine Rare Disease Study Group is organizing a session dedicated to addressing various aspects of MEN. Prof. Lee Yu-bin will provide an overview of MEN types 1 and 2. Prof. Mark Lewis will share his unique perspective on MEN type 1, drawing from both his experiences as a patient and as an oncologist. Jo Grey will present insights into MEN type 2, using her experiences as a patient and her position as the CEO of the Association for Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia Disorders. Prof. Kyoung Jin Kim will explore the latest epidemiological study on MEN in the Republic of Korea.

Microplastics are omnipresent in our surrounding environments, posing a threat to the health of ecosystems, including humans. This session aims to explore microplastic contamination in food and its impact on human health. We will look into the sources and pathways of microplastic ingestion, the toxic effects on the human body, and the challenges of detecting and measuring microplastics in biological samples. Furthermore, we will assess the risks associated with microplastics and discuss strategies to minimize harm to ecosystems and human well-being, including potential solutions.

Striving for a healthy and happy life motivate our dedication to research and development. This session will discuss the global network promotion platform for innovative clinical research led by Prof. Daisuke Nakatani from the Global Clinical Research Support Group at the Department of Medical Innovation, Osaka University Hospital in Japan. Additionally, we will explore the development process of an ingenious Smart Toilet by Prof. Seung-Min Park from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. We also plan to share insights into the meticulous efforts of Prof. Sihoon Lee at Gachon University College of Medicine, focusing on precision treatments for hypothyroidism.
